We chose to stop here on the way home from dropping our son off at Whitewater. It was later in the evening on a Sunday, so I wasn't surprised at the amount of empty tables, but those filled in quickly after us. The bar, which reminded me of a local pub, was quite full. I couldn't figure out which it was more of, that, or an upscale restaurant, but they made it work. I expected to get pasta until I saw Chicken Vesuvio and immediately changed my mind, which was definitely the right choice. It was exactly how I remembered my mom making it and easily compared to Harry Caray's in Chicago. You got a full half chicken, which was more than enough to take home for leftovers and well worth the price. My husband had the steak, which was market price, so we were a little nervous to get the bill. It was smothered with mushrooms, too many for his liking, so he scraped at least half off. It was cooked perfectly and he liked it, but had he known the cost, he would have chosen something else. The salad was an added cost, which threw us a bit, but it was a loaded salad, we didnt finish it. Our server was wonderful and very attentive, my cocktail a tad strong, but it lasted my meal. I would definitely go back.
My party had a fantastic time, the food was superb. Our server Brittney was excellent! We will most definitely be back again and again!!

Stopped for dessert in a blizzard. Still, the parking lot was full. After being seated, I noticed a few things. The people that work there are super. Friendly and helpful. The portions are noticeably large. I saw folks eating huge plates of pasta and other Italian dishes that looked awesome. No wonder the place is packed. The other thing that threw me was that the clientele was obviously local, and being in the far Southwest suburbs means many farms. So many of the men were eating and wearing baseball hats, trucker hats, and the like. If that is their style, it doesn't matter to me, but the place deserved more from the customers on Valentines Day. It isn't fine dining, but it could be a stop if it is date night. The fact that all kinds are welcome and you are allowed to be who you are is actually refreshing. The dessert was great, and we slowly made an hour drive last, almost 2, in the winter storm. Cannolis to go and a fantastic cheesecake with cannoli filling on top, was our choice along with a tirimisu. Going to be back, won't judge, and be ourselves in casual mode if we like.
Looks are absolutely deceiving!... I definitely did not expect high quality Italian food from this place but was stunned when I walked through the doors. The staff was incredible. I'd suggest getting a reservation if possible as it gets VERY busy around dinnertime. However, they got our party of 6 in within seconds. The food is sublime. Delicious and well made. The options are akin to any place in Italy itself. The homemade sauces are fantastic and I can't describe them to their credit. I highly suggest this place if you want a treat. Speaking of treats! The dessert menu will have you begging for more... my suggestion? Get the Salted Carmel Ice cream and you'll be happy you did.
This place is pure magic! Food made from fresh ingredients and made with LOVE!!! Holi Cannoli is out go to spot for special occasions, but also for a fabulous meal! Never had bad service or a bad meal! So accommodating, I feel like family here! Melissa is keeping the legacy alive and is continuing to share the love that her parents Cathie & Rich poured into this restaurant. Please make it a point to stop for a meal! The salmon special I had last night was amazing! It was cooked to perfection, the shrimp was tender, and the mussels barely needed to be chewed. Our server, Beth, was so nice and took care of us like family. I HIGHLY recommend Alejandro's Irish Coffee with his grasshopper whipped cream! OMG!!!!!!
The place was packed, bar and dining room. Server was amazing very knowledgeable about menu items with recommendations. Fried Calamari was over the top. Caesar salad with Blackened Mai Mai and mashed potatoes. Chicken Parm with Vodka sauce and spaghetti. Garlic Bread and a Cannoli for dessert
